This kit uses the essential components absolutely necessary to rec-crown a damaged or worn muzzle.  This barrel re-crowning kit is especially great for re-crowning military rifles.  Using a pilot that is inserted into the barrel, and a ball-end hex bit, the cutting assemble enables you to cut a perfect crown on almost any gun.

Kit Options:

Cutter: Choose between a 0 degree or 11 degree crown cutter.  A 0 zero degree cutter will produce a perfectly flat crown.  An 11 degree cutter will  put a 11 degree angle on the crown. FREE – Included with standard kit

O.D. Deburr / Chamfer: This attachment will put a 45 degree bevel on the outside edge of the crown around the barrel.  This eliminates the hard, straight edge around the outside diameter of the crown. $9 additional

IMPORTANT – MAKE SURE TO USE THE CUTTING OIL THAT WAS INLCUDED IN THIS KIT.  LIBERALLY APPLY OIL TO THE CUTTING BLADES.  THIS HELPS TO KEEP THE BLADES CONDITIONED, TO AVOID DAMAGE AND TO KEEP THEM SHARP.

DO  NOT SLAM THE CUTTING BLADES AGAINST THE MUZZLE.  While carbide blades can remain sharp for a long time, they are brittle and will brake if dropped or slammed against another object.

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE PILOT ASSEMBLY WITH THE DRIVER ADAPTER WHILE IT IS IN THE BARREL.

USE ONLY A CORDLESS DRILL OR POWER DRILL AT A RANGE OF 75 – 225 RPMs.  TAKE YOUR TIME AND DON’T CUT TOO FAST.

Instructions:

1. To use the re-crowning kit and cutter, follow the instructions included in the Re-Crowning Kit Box. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DON’T CUT TOO FAST.

2. To use the O.D. Chamfer Cutter, simply replace the regular Crown Cutter with the Chamfer Cutter.  Assemble the tool in the same manner as directed on the other instruction sheet.  The tool will be assemble in this order: brush and pilot assembly, Chamfer Cutter, Driver Adapter, Hex Bit.

3. Once you are done, please make sure to clean the tools, repackage them properly, and return them promptly.
